Biomaster partner Cromwell Polythene is expanding its operations to incorporate a new recycling and manufacturing site in Derbyshire.
The Yorkshire-based company supplies waste and recycling sacks, film, made-to-order products and more from polythene.
The Cromwell portfolio includes the highly popular Sansafe® antimicrobial bin liner range with Biomaster protection, designed for clinical waste management and washroom services.
Cromwell has now purchased Moorgreen Flexible Packaging based in Alfreton in Derbyshire. The site currently recycles and manufactures polythene, film, bags and sacks from recycled and prime virgin polythene.
The compnay will continue to operate the factory under the new company name of Cromwell Plastics Recycling, creating new jobs with the addition of extra conversion lines for bag-making.
James Lee, managing director of Cromwell Polythene said the move represents an exciting chapter for the company and pledged to invest more in the Alfreton site. “We are looking forward to strengthening our UK recycling and manufacturing, furthering our ambitions to help grow the circular economy.”
Cromwell Polythene moved recently into its purpose-built headquarters and distribution facility at Sherburn-in-Elmet, near Selby in North Yorkshire.
The company’s products are supplied to the waste management sector, local authorities, healthcare, the janitorial industry, the packaging market and industrial and consumer end-users.
