Biomaster protects new ambulance fleet

Specialist UK vehicle converters Blue Light Services are fitting a new fleet of ambulances with Biomaster protection - with plans to expand to many more vehiclea in the near future.

London-based Blue Light Services has over 25 years of experience in the ambulance industry supporting private and NHS customers. This year they have orders to fit interior panels with in-built Biomaster antibacterial technology to 120 Renault vehicles. The company is also looking to expand its product offering to other vehicle chassis next year.

Biomaster is built into the paneling during the manufacturing process and works 24 hours a day to inhibit the growth of microbes for the lifetime of the product.  It is proven to be effective against most common forms of bacteria including E. coli, Campylobacter and MRSA.

Blue Light Services National Sales Manager Darren Sharman explains: “We are a rapidly growing vehicle conversion company who have taken years of experience working within the ambulance industry and channeled it into the design and manufacture of our Renault Master Ambulance conversions for the NHS and Private Ambulance sectors. Most of our customers come from the rapidly growing private ambulance sector, which is now supporting our NHS in providing emergency cover.

It is becoming more and more important that all aspects are considered when designing and converting ambulances and Infection control is now a large factor in the selection process for the materials we use in the conversion of modern ambulances.

We work very closely with our suppliers to ensure that we use only the best materials in our conversions paying close attention to details to ensure a high quality finished product.”

Addmaster Marketing Manager Karl Shaw adds: “the emergency services are having to respond to demands for ever-higher standards of hygiene in a range of settings. Biomaster technology is another powerful barrier against the growth of harmful microbes in healthcare environments where people are at their most vulnerable”.
